You have a few other problems in there also. :thumbsup:

We need to be able to see the top part of your log before we can proceed though. :flowers:

Download CWShredder from the below link and unzip it into a directory. Start CWShredder and click on the FIx button to have it remove all CWS infections it finds.

Download CWShredder from:

http://www.merijn.org/files/cwshredder.zip

After you download the program, unzip it into a directory. Make sure all browser windows are closed and double click on the cwshredder.exe to start the program. When the program is loaded click on the "Check for Update" button, and if it finds an new version it will download it. You should then double click on cwshredder.exe again and click on the "FIX" button (not the "Scan only" button) and let it scan your computer.

A tutorial that goes over this process step by step can be found here:

:flowers: not a problem, and I don't mind. You can take this if you want..

At any rate, now I am confused :thumbsup:

Did you run the shredder yet?

I ran CWShredder. After that, I went to Windows Update, as there were 19 critical items to download. I was on line without any apparent problem, until the screen froze after an hour while still downloading. I was not disconnected, and I could not do a normal shutdown. I had to switch off. There was no sign of the porn dialler, which was evident when a small window used to appear for a fraction of a second, and I would be disconnected. It has pictures of girls on it.

Thanks for all of you suggestions. I will get back

LIGHT AT THE END OF THE PORN TUNNEL?

UK time 2030 26th July.

I ran CWShredder last night . I also ran Adaware and Spybot each at least a couple of times. The screen froze again today while I was trying to download critical updates for Windows. Just as I was thinking that the hotxxx problem had gone, it suddenly appeared on the system tray, desktop and it was there on the START menu. A Zone Alarm box appeared asking if I wanted to allow analsex.exe to access the internet. I obviously was not getting anywhere.

1. ADAWARE

At noon today I decided to check for ADAWARE updates and downloaded it. When I ran it I was surprised and pleased to see the following, which were removed:

ALEXA

obj[1]=RegKey : SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Extensions\{c95fe080-8f5d-11d2-a20b-00aa003c157a}

POSSIBLE BROWSER HIJACK ATTEMPT

obj[2]=RegData : Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main

TRACKING COOKIE

obj[3]=File : c:\windows\cookies\david@bluestreak[1].txt

ASIANRAW DIALER

obj[4]=File : c:\windows\desktop\hotxxx.lnk
obj[5]=File : c:\windows\start menu\hotxxx.lnk

2. SPYBOT

After running SPYBOT the following was displayed:

DSO Exploit Registry change

HKEY_USERS\DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Windows

I notice that every time I fix the item, it reappears on the next run of SPYBOT

3. CWSHREDDER

The messages from running CWSHREDDER are:

- Cleaned orphans left over
- CWS.Bootconf removed

Another run of CWSHREDDR showed a clean system.

4. HIJACKTHIS

The log after carrying out the first three procedures is as follows:

What action should I take?

5. Zone Labs

When I logged on to the internet before the above runs, Zone Labs (firewall free edition) asks if I want to allow internet access to the following:

Shman.exe
Svcshosts.exe

Both the above files were in the previous HIJACKTHIS log I posted. Only the second file is shown on the latest log (C:\\WINDOWS\SVCSHOSTE.EXE)

What should I do if they appear again for ZoneLabs permission?

I obviously was not getting anywhere

That's because Grinler and I were tripping over each other :thumbsup:

Anyway...

Shman.exe <-- this appears to be a component of the porn dialer, maybe trying to update or reinstall itself? IT's not a valid application anywhere that I know of. For now, do not allow it access. If something doesn't work because of it, then you can always change the option to allow later. If it doesn't hurt anything, then delete it.

Svcshosts.exe <-- legitimate process, you can allow it.

The only other lines I really have a question about is these:

Thanks Groovicus for your comments as I feel better for them.

I know that lines in the log starting with 16 relate to my local supermarket.

R0 - I have noted some other logs have www.pureseeker.com, and the senders of the logs have been asked to checkmark and fix it. Should I do it? Does this mean that Internet Explorer home page is set for this website? I do not normally use IE but I would not like to have this as my home page if it is a porn/sex site, especially as I have been struggling with hotxxx, nastysex.

R1 - Leave alone or fix?
