Not sure that I am posting to the correct place or not. I am having problems with my home computer and to be honest I am ready to take a sledge hammer to it. Somthing happened a couple of weeks ago, whatever it was disabled my Norton Antivirus, and I could not get on the internet, also the popups have taken over. I am getting a ton of them. I finally was able to correct the Norton problem and the internet problem but now I am trying to deal with the popups and I am at a lose. I have ad Aware and I did run it and took care of that stuff, I also ran spybot and spyblaster but it still didnt help. Last night I ran NoAdware and it came up with several things so I payed the 29.95 for them to fix it and it didnt help either.

Any suggestions on what I can try now?

Thanks,

Ali

Read the pinned post in the HijackThis forum, here
Please read, and follow, all directions carefully.

Then, run a log, and post it in the HJT forum, at this link. Do not, fix anything, yet.
A member, of the HJT Team, will help you out.
It may take a couple of days to get a response, because the HJT Team are very busy. Please, be patient, these people are volunteers. They will help you out, as soon as possible.

NOTE:
Once you have made the post, please, DO NOT make another post in the HJT forum, until it has been responded to by a member of the HJT Team. The first thing they look for, when looking for logs to reply to, is 0 replies. If you make another post, there will be 1 reply. The team member, glancing over the replies, might assume someone is already helping you out, and will not respond. So, just make your post, and let it sit there, until a team member responds. This way you will be taken care of, in the most timely manner.

I've had problems as well....i went to www.google.com and downloaded the popup blocker that google provided. I think you go to www.google.com and type Google Popup Blocker and it should give you a site to download it.....its not too bad of a blocker....i also have ewido which scans your whole system and it does a good job at finding problems and i also have AVG Virus Scanner......which i just found a virus on my mrjj.exe file that solved a popup from popping up on my computer today....so it wouldn't hurt to try and find that AVG virus scanner.....to find those go to google.com and type in the name.......Good luck
