Problems Transfering Files

since my old HDD wouldnt work with windows (it worked once then after it had chkdisk but not again)
How do i transfer files onto my new hdd i can do some files but when it comes into document and settings then kevin
it said access is denyed when i click on it, anyway round this? i assume its to protect my data but i cant go on my original pc to burn the stuff onto disk so im stuck =/

You'll probably need to take ownership of the files before you can access them. See the following link for information.
