I wouldn't trust speedfan. Try running the manufacturer's diagnostic test.

Are you just doing : Start>Run> cmd and use the command chkdsk?

If so try chkdsk /r and answer Y to the question and restart the computer.
If I am helping you and I do not respond within 24 hours, please send me a PM. :)

Hi
Did you try doing it by going to My Computer.
Right click on the drive you want to check(ususally it's C).
Go to Tools tab and click "check now"
that's just a thought see if it works and reply back.

Hi,
sorry I didn't see that above.
Take a read here: http://www.castlecops.com/modules.php?name...ic&p=448169
I am also not sure what 4236 file is. Read that topic and see if it helps.
Also search that file and see if anything comes up.
Go to My Computer then click the Search and the top.
Type in 4326 and see if it finds anything. Search All files and folders. Go to the advanced option and make sure that Search Hidden files and search subfolders are checked.

Nothing came up....
This is strange. When it was searching not one file came up?
If so then I don't think that file exists...
Run CHKDSK again and see what comes up?
