ADDED SEVERAL HOURS LATER: BETWEEN HIJACKTHIS AND MALWAREBYTE I SEEM TO HAVE ELIMINATED THIS PARTICULAR BUG. NOT THE PATIENT TYPE. THANK YOU VERY MUCH, BUT NEVER MIND. (sorry if this is not the proper way to do this - I couldn't see a way to "UNpost" so this seemed the best way not to waste anyone's time) misterirving

It was disguised as an activeX control necessary to view a page on men's wigs. Now there is a popup "your system is infected with a dangerous virus" almost every click in explorer; it automatically downloaded and started to run some pirate program "winsys"-something or other that claimed to be a virus cleaner; I stopped it and spysweeper deleted it from startup; every google search contains "error - " followed by the same text as in the popup and links to youtube porn (which I have not clicked on), and for a while every google search was hijacked to the bogus antivirus program. I have run spybot & spysweeper & combofix. Below are the requested DSS logs. Thank you very much for whatever assistance you can provide.
