Only trying to install the Mail portion of Windows Live, since I use OE for Hotmail which will soon no longer be possible.

Windows Live gets through to almost the end of the process, but when the status bar for "installing" reaches the end, it fails without giving me an error code or anything, and a "Get help with this" link. The suggestions for resolving the problem in the link were of no help.

Please provide the help link, so we can see what it says.
That way, we won't be telling you to do something you've already tried.

Sorry for the wait, had to get to my home PC and search my browser history. Here's the link they provided:

The Windows Live customer service finally responded and was able to provide the solution (had to directly download some system updates that weren't automatically being downloaded), thanks anyways.
