Hello,

Before we go any further, you must know that you have a password stealer on your system, and it's been compromised.

This line : O2 - BHO: testCPV6 - {15421B84-3488-49A7-AD18-CBF84A3EFAF6} - C:\Program Files\Spcron\Spc.dll
You can see here : http://www.castlecops.com/clsid-43385.html

I would counsel you to disconnect this PC from the Internet immediately. If you do any banking or other financial transactions on the PC or it if it contains any other sensitive information, please get to a known clean computer and change all passwords where applicable, and it would be wise to contact those same financial institutions to apprise them of your situation.

Though the Trojan has been identified and can be killed, because of it's backdoor functionality, Your PC is very likely compromised and there is no way to be sure your computer can ever again be trusted. Many experts in the security community believe that once infected with this type of Trojan, the best course of action would be a reformat and reinstall of the OS. If it were on my PC I would not hesitate for a moment to do so. Please read these for more information:

How Do I Handle Possible Identify Theft, Internet Fraud and CC Fraud?

When Should I Format, How Should I Reinstall

Should you decide not to follow that advice, we will of course do our best to clean the computer of any infections that we can see but, as I already stated, we can in no way guarantee it to be trustworthy.

Should you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

Regards,
tea

Thank you for your prompt reply Tea.

That is unfortunate news. I will reformat and reinstall as you suggest. I suppose there is no way to know how long it has been on my system?

I don't keep really sensitive info on that machine and have changed the few passwords that might have been exposed.

I have a main folder that contains most of my data files that I backed up to a portable drive. Do I need to be concerned about those files if I want to access them from another machine?

It took me a long time to set that machine up but better safe than sorry.

Thanks again for the heads up.

Have a good day.

Hello,

You can navigate to that file, right click and choose properties. It might give you the date it was put on your machine, but then again, it might not. Otherwise I'd need to have you run a tool to catch the date it got you.

Just be sure you scan them before you put them on another machine, if that's what you intend to do. I think they'll be all right, but as you said, better safe than sorry.

That was just one of the problems you have going on. There are several, so I'm glad you chose the R&R.

Regards,
tea
