I don't know exactly how I acquired it...but I've been experiencing some malware related problems for two days. The first symptom was the loss of all my icons and Start from my desktop. I was able to do a few different virus scans from Task Manager and I now have my desktop restored. I tried to go back using system restore but it appears all of my restore points have been erased. I googled CiD and noted that with mixed success people have simply removed a file from add/remove but I cannot determine if the offending file is there. I sure could use some help in getting rid of these. Ironically, I've noticed that a majority of the pop up are for virus removal. Go figure!
