Distorted Music Update

Sorry if this is not the correct place to post but I read a thread here that came to a very unsatisfactory conclusion i.e. the computer was reformatted.


The main issue was

Thing is, it's actually not, maybe Virtumonde got removed, but there's still something here, experiencing the same issues with sound that I have, meaning when I play a music file, it's jumpy with distorsion, and I've no clue what to do, windows still runs slower than usual as well. No idea

This sounds like a description of the disk drive running in compatibility mode. In other words DMA is disabled and it requires processor interrupts to transfer data to memory.

Consequently disk intensive tasks such as system start up are much slower and time sensitive activities such as sounds can be distorted.

It's usually a driver problem but can be a hardware fault.
