Hello Chalala and welcome to BleepingComputer.

You are using an outdated version of Hijackthis. Please download and install the newest version, v1.99.1, from this HijackThis download site.

The current posted log looks truncated. When you post the new log, be sure to get it all.

Any particular problem you are trying to solve?

ddeerrff:

thanks for replying so quickly. after trying to convince myself that i could stop the popups on my computer without help, i finally decided to ask. if i leave my computer for a minute, 10 popups will show up while im gone. you can probably imagine how many show up in a few minutes.

ill download the program now and get back to you.

Open Control Panel then Add/Remove Programs. Look for the following and uninstall them if found:

Ebates*
EliteBar
Elite Toolbar

Download LQfix.zip
Unzip it and save it to your desktop, don't use it yet!!

Configure Windows to enable viewing of Hidden and System files.

Start HJT and click on the SCAN button. Put a check mark in front of the following lines if they still show:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [etbrun] C:\windows\system32\elitevaj32.exe
O9 - Extra button: Ebates - {6685509E-B47B-4f47-8E16-9A5F3A62F683} - file://C:\Program Files\Ebates_MoeMoneyMaker\Sy350\Tp350\scri350a.htm (file missing) (HKCU)

With ALL OTHER WINDOWS CLOSED, click on Fix Checked.

Boot into Safe Mode

Doubleclick on LQFix.bat. A doswindow will open and close again.. that is normal.

Reboot normally and post a new HJT log.
