My World of Warcraft account got keylogged some how. I have run AVG, Adaware, Spybot, Windows Defender, Spy Sweeper, Spyware blaster, posted a hijack this log and used blacklight rootkit scanner. Nothing is coming up as a critical threat. Help! I run Windows Vista 32Bit Ultimate. Thanks!

You only have one post here and I can't see you HijackThis log anywhere on this forum.

I suspect you are already receiving help from another forum. If you are, you are not to be receiving help from 2 or more different forums regarding the same issue. This also applies, especially for HJT logs.

Are you receiving other help or are you actually in the process of posting a HJT log - if you are then this thread needs to be closed

Thankyou

I posted a HJL on another forum. I'm trying to get as much help as I can on this. I was referred to you by a friend. I'll put up the HJL right now.

No don't post the log here.

If you are receiving help with a HJT log from another forum and from a second forum it will cause a mass of confusion.

Please tell me which forum is helping you

I suggest you do not take help from any other forum - even the one you are receiving help from now.

When I say don't take help from the forum currently helping you with the HJT log it means don't go posting help again. Just wait until your HJT log is clean before you receive any help.

I don't seem to be understanding, forgive me for my confusion.

From the website I posed my HJT log, they said it was clean.

But are you saying I should've posted my HJT log in this website's HJT log analyzing forum before I post on this forum in the first place?

Hello no please do not post the HJT log.

You probably don't have a logger but a false positive from the Anti cheat software..punkbuster.

Please run this scan as Administrator on this Vista PC.

Download and scan with SUPERAntiSpyware Free for Home Users
  • Double-click SUPERAntiSpyware.exe and use the default settings for installation.
  • An icon will be created on your desktop. Double-click that icon to launch the program.
  • If asked to update the program definitions, click "Yes". If not, update the definitions before scanning by selecting "Check for Updates". (If you encounter any problems while downloading the updates, manually download and unzip them from here.)
  • Under "Configuration and Preferences", click the Preferences button.
  • Click the Scanning Control tab.
  • Under Scanner Options make sure the following are checked (leave all others unchecked):
    • Close browsers before scanning.
    • Scan for tracking cookies.
    • Terminate memory threats before quarantining.
  • Click the "Close" button to leave the control center screen.
  • Back on the main screen, under "Scan for Harmful Software" click Scan your computer.
  • On the left, make sure you check C:\Fixed Drive.
  • On the right, under "Complete Scan", choose Perform Complete Scan.
  • Click "Next" to start the scan. Please be patient while it scans your computer.
  • After the scan is complete, a Scan Summary box will appear with potentially harmful items that were detected. Click "OK".
  • Make sure everything has a checkmark next to it and click "Next".
  • A notification will appear that "Quarantine and Removal is Complete". Click "OK" and then click the "Finish" button to return to the main menu.
  • If asked if you want to reboot, click "Yes".
  • To retrieve the removal information after reboot, launch SUPERAntispyware again.
    • Click Preferences, then click the Statistics/Logs tab.
    • Under Scanner Logs, double-click SUPERAntiSpyware Scan Log.
    • If there are several logs, click the current dated log and press View log. A text file will open in your default text editor.
    • Please copy and paste the Scan Log results in your next reply.
  • Click Close to exit the program.

No. You didn't say your log was flagged as clean - but, it is

I don't see why you should post a HJT log here as you have already had one analyzed and it was clean :flowers:

(Sorry I didn't see your post boopme)

Maybe I'm not infected with a keylogger. But, I'm not sure where I would of posted my account information anywhere other than the WoW website. No other accounts such as my online banking have been changed, so theres a good chance I might not have one.
