Hi guys im new here, so im trying to follow the post format as good as possible. Please pull me up if I make a mistake.

Ok so lately (not long after installing AVG 8.0), ive run into massive PC problems. A slow and freezing internet (Firefox),
Unresponsive icons, and every file I download, I get "Invalid Win32 Application".

My Hijackthis Log is looking a lot different also: here is the results.

I also scanned my PC with AVG 8.0, and although I have no threats, I have over 27,000 warnings! And they are ALL (ALL!) from "ActiveX Combatibility" in the registry section. I am unsure as what to do, and Im scared and really need some help if anyone is free in helping me.

A Clean install is not an option at this time. If anyone could shed some light on this issue, please let me know. Many have told me it is AVG 8.0, but then I do not know what to switch my virus protection suite to. Please help if you can.

Thank you very much in advance. I am active, and will constantly check back for replies. :D cheers.

P.S -I am worried that these problems wont be resolved. I cant download .exe files (it seems), and therefore I will not be able to get the nessessry files for the fixup! However it seems it is only .exe files. The files dont even properly download. Files from torrent sites, or from WinRAR seem to work, and install perfectly.

Cancel that! It turned out to be the AVG 8.0 afterwall.

I switched over and purchased NOD32 instead.

Everything is better. Thanks alot anyway :D
