Do I Need Directx 10.....

If i get a card which says Direct X 10 do i have to use that or can I still operate with my Directx 9 version (as far as i know you have to have win vista to get Dx10 but iv only got XP).

DX10 and vista are needed for newer cards/games and full feature support, vista has such a performance hit I wouldn't reccomend it for anyone unless they had plenty of rams and cpu cores to throw at it

DX10 cards will do quite fine with DX9 and windows xp

Crysis is a whole new ball game tho

make sure you have the latest build of dx9c
