Hello,
I was running my spyware programs, spybot search and destroy, ad aware, super anti spyware, and they were finding various files so I thought I would run a hi jack log. I did this and posted it in pcreview for an analysis. After looking at the analysis I had a few items that were not good. They said I could postit here and get some help. I am running XP with all updates on a Compaq M2000 laptop. Can someone look and help me?

Welcome to Bleeping Computer, please be sure you have read and followed the
Preparation Guide For Use Before Posting A Hijackthis Log, Instructions for receiving help in cleaning your computer http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/34773/preparation-guide-for-use-before-using-malware-removal-tools-and-requesting-help/
All advice given is taken at your own risk.

I was running my spyware programs, spybot search and destroy, ad aware, super anti spyware, and they were finding various files

I need more information "various files" is telling me nothing. If you still need help, please do this.

1) Read the instructions posted above and pinned to the top of the forum, so you can see what you should have done.

2) You are running two antivirus programs at the same time and this is not a good thing. They conflict with each other and you will be less safe than if you ran one good program and maintained it properly.
http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/nav.n...000031316555206
"Microsoft recommends that you have only one anti-virus program installed on your computer."
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/conte...5120300087.html
http://www.smartcomputing.com/editorial/ar...38s07/38s07.asp

C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\
C:\PROGRA~1\Grisoft\AVG7\
(uninstall one of those)

3) Post some information about what these programs are finding that they can not resolve, names of malware, locations, along with a new HJT log using Add Reply, and I will be glad to take a look.

Thanks

I am sorry, but I thought that I had followed most of the guide. The spyware programs that I ran did not find anything that they could not fix. But I ran a hijackthis and checked it on an online analyzer. It found somethings that I could not identify and so I posted the log file here to get some help. I did know that I should not run 2 anti virus programs and was running Avast and had the AVG shut off. I have since uninstalled AVG. I am not having trouble with my computer but wanted to see if someone could help me with hijack unknown Items. I am not sure which items the online scan said were bad ones. If you can look at my new log file I would appreciate it.

I apologize  I was not notified when you posted. You still have problems, I can see malware in the HJT log. Let's remove what I see and then we will run scan to look for anything hidden.

1) C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6.0_03\ <<< update your Java program, see this:
http://forums.spybot.info/showpost.php?p=1...amp;postcount=2

2) How to make files and folders visible:
Click Start > Open My Computer.
Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
Select the View Tab. Under the Hidden files and folders heading, select Show hidden files and folders.
Uncheck: Hide file extensions for known file types
Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option.
Click Yes to confirm. Click OK.
You may reverse this for safety when we are finished.

3) Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune
http://www.atribune.org/public-beta/ATF-Cleaner.exe
Save it to your Desktop. We will use this later.

4) Open HijackThis and choose "Do a system scan only" then check the box in front of these line items:

R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page =
O4 - HKLM\..\Policies\Explorer\Run: [QWBBQq7QkQ] C:\Documents and Settings\All Users.WINDOWS\Application Data\doforizq\bunavibe.exe
(if you know the next one, you can leave it)
O4 - Global Startup: backgroundclean.exe

Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows, then click on "Fix Checked"

5) Right click Start > Explore and navigate to these files/folders and delete them if there.

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users.WINDOWS\Application Data\doforizq\ <<< delete that folder and contents

6) Run ATF Cleaner
Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Click Select All found at the bottom of the list.
Click the Empty Selected button.
Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.

Restart and post a new HJT log, tell me about any issues.

Thanks

If you post and do not hear from me for twelve (12) hours, please send me a PM and make me aware:
