 I am a brand new member and this is my very first question and/or post. Do any of you know of a really great FREE site where different people and/or artists make personal Signatures for people to add on to the end of emails? I have seen some Signatures on different message boards that were amazing and I would really like to have one meself. Thanks everyone.

Leprechaun05: Welcome to BC, a really cool place.

For a start go here and noodle around. I'm guessing you'll find something you'll like.

I've seen some tutorials on making sigs with your favourite game characters in them but can't remember where  Try digital art forums associated with DAZ or Poser.
In the meantime there is a GIMP tutorial which could make a pretty good sig here:

scarlett, did I mention I am a "Beginner" and do not know what
"Tags" are. Do you mean I should click on "Close all Tags" before I start Reply in order to make font in Bold Face and in Color? Thank you.

Rimmer, did I mention that I am a "Beginner" and when I went to the site you suggested I did not know what they were saying!!!!! I've never seen so many foreign words and/or terms in my entire life!!!!! How they ever expect a "Beginner" to ever follow their instructions is beyond me. Thanks anyway.

Well I have not heard of it but you can make lots of things yourself with the GIMP program.
Check it out here if you'd like?
http://www.gimp.org/

I have made many sigs for people here using that program. It takes a little practice but its fun to say "I made that".
Enjoy

Whoops im sorry you were pointed to the gimp tutorial area already I didnt read the site address before I posted.

Yes I'm inclined to agree with you, even though its aimed at beginners they assume you know the name of every button and process in the GIMP, perhaps not a very good suggestion on my part after all  Did you try the site that twinsdad suggested - I just had a go and it created a reasonable sig for me in about 30 seconds.

Having said that, if you do feel like downloading the GIMP and nutting your way through that tutorial it would probably be of great benefit to you in future if your interested in doing anything to do with graphics or photo manipulations (can be lots of fun :flowers: ).

If that is too daunting bear in mind most signatures are just a couple of images superimposed, which you can do in many photo manipulation programs. If you tell us what photo software you have on your system (some would have come with a scanner or digital camera if you have those) perhaps I can come up with some suggestions?

Here's one of the signature tutorials I could not find earlier, this one assumes you have Adobe Photoshop but it should translate to other photo software

also this one to make a "grunge signature" :flowers:
