This message is a CA Anti virus ver. 8.4.0.28 pop up box. / I get the message when I try and open Paint.net downloaded install file.

OS is Vista

CA has quarantined it and it is not trying to do anything else.

I downloaded the program from the offical mirror, installed and did a search for MirrorShim.exe, it only shows as an entry in the prefetch folder, must be part of the installer as it loaded before the main executable

I uploaded to jotti, it came up clean with all engines, looks like a false positive

Yes it substitutes paint but even more it is like fotoshop.

You can cut and paste like put a cats head on a body to make an avatar.

It cleans up dark pictures.. aye yai yai it is cool.
