Hello, my husband's computer is a mess. He appeared to have a backdoor trojan that was attempting to broadcast emails, Norton scanned and rejected them (although Norton was a couple weeks out of date). Bought Norton anti virus 2008 and installed. Computer seemed fine til the morning, then no taskbar and it could not be retrieved by CTRL/ESC or Windows key or by rebooting in safe mode, no msn access. Contacted Norton via IE, gave them remote control of computer; by this morning they had fixed nothing and Qwest finding the remote access open, thought it was a virus and shut down our dsl access.

We have dsl access back but no msn access. I was able to download mozilla firefox so can connect to internet fairly fast now. Hijack log shows lots of missing files. I would like to fix it. Where would be the appropriate place to post the hijackthis log?
