probably in vain, but is there a way to get the activation key from inside windows? I've still got the disc somewhere but the key got lost in a move i think. Am i SOL here? About to install ubuntu and if it happens to screw up windows by some act of god or by my own stupidity i'd love to have a recourse. outside of buying a new copy if i can even find it lol

If you can still boot Windows you can use Magical Jelly Bean Keyfinder v2.0.1.

Take a magic maker and write it down on the bottom or inside of the case. I usually write down all important info inside the side cover
