Hi there. I am a new member. I am infected with Virtumonde.fp
Have run Spybot and it says that it is clean, but NOD32 says that it is present in a dll file.

Any assistance to eradicate will be appreciated.

Use F8 to boot into safe mode and run a scan and clean with nod from there

Many thanks for your reply, DaChew.

Completed the recommended NOD Scan and Clean. Not successful adware remains.

Log states that the file containing Virtumonde.fp is locked. NOD will not delete the files. In some instances the delete option is not available. It only offers the option to Quarantine.

The system is becoming unstable with stuttering of video and delay response from My Computer (Explorer ??).

Again, many thanks for your assistance.

Best Regards,

Jahbyrd

If one right clicks in any of the Detailed - NOD32 Scanner Log windows, one can export to a file (.txt) very easily.

I am sorry to appear evasive, but it's best to procede cautiously, many computers fail to boot if the infection is bad enough and you blindly apply fixes.
