I am amateur computer guy. Can fix alot and don't know alot as well, but usually try to learn new stuff. I'm good at writing and user-friendly emphasis. I enjoy genealogy research. I get frustrated with "cancels" that don't abort what you started pretty fast. Cancel should terminate what you started in 2 seconds or less, no if's and's or buts. I like Karen Kenworth programs like "Force Power Off." (I don't want to be asked "Are Youe Sure." When deleting I don't mind "R U Sure."

I hate Microsoft Word and Open Office autochange functions. It is annoying to key a list and they auto do 2, 3, &c. and I have to click undo button. And Smart Intelligence still hasn't figured out that an address done in line (not block) doesn't get a semi-colon. Programmers should write code that assumes the user knows what he/she is composing and doing. Yes I know you can turn auto correct "off," but figuring out that is a whole different issue and equally frustrating.

Software I like: Page Maker, Corel Photo Paint, Corel Draw (except difficulty in working with jpeg and tiff extensions).

Enough about my quirks. If I can help anyone I am glad to offer my two cents.

I have to agree that there is nothing more frustrating and annoying when writing than to have a WP assume you want to continue a numbered list or to automatically add a "*" when you really want a different format for the next paragraph, and then you have to spend a lot of extra time trying to "fool" it.
