I wa sput on to this site by an article in The Guardian. Try as I might, downlaods don't happen - they are cancelled. Could malware be seeing what I'm trying to download?

Edit: Sorry - it's on desktop - rather than in list of downlaods as used to be the case

The best I've ever seen against trojans is a-squared, free from Emisoft. Get it here:

http://www.emsisoft.com/en/software/free/

Download it, install it, update it, and run it. If for some reason you can't download this then go to their free scan site, trojanscan.com and scan and remove what malware might be blocking your ability to download software to combat this stuff. Then download a-squared so you can have for in the future. Best to you...

Sounds to me like...you've changed your download desigated location.

It really doesn't matter where it goes, as long as the user knows where to find the file.
