My computer was working fine. I have burned a number of music cds very recently. Then all of a sudden it wouldn't recognize anything. No games, no audio Cds, nothing. I found this out by trying to burn a cd like I always do and it was hanging my windows media player. If I put a game in, it says insert disk when it is already there. I have checked the device manager and it says the cdw is working fine. Do you have any suggestions? This computer is brand new (Jan 2005) and I am stumped. thanks, Kelly

This happened to me too. I have to disable the antivirus software to get my computer to recognize the CD drive & to burn a CD. Hope this helps.
