Been having these pop-ups which come to the front of my programs and I have reactivated my task manager in order to try to end task them out with including the "tree branch" it came from. Doing this hasn't helped at all and avast! seems to not clear it out also. Here is my HiJackThis log which was scanned at 2:25 PM April 28th. Thanks again!

  • If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
  • Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Quick Scan", then click Scan.
  • The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
  • When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  • Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
  • When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart.(See Extra Note)
  • The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
  • Copy&Paste the entire report in your next reply along with a fresh HijackThis log.

Hi,

Please uninstall Symantec's LiveUpdate via software > add/remove programs since you don't need it anymore.

Then, * Go to start > control panel > Display properties > Desktop > Customize Desktop... > Web tab
Select Privacy Protection you find in there and press the delete button on the right.
Hit ok below > apply in previous window.

Then,

* Start HijackThis, close all open windows leaving only HijackThis running. Place a check against each of the following:

Hi,

No need to post another HijackThislog. I know this entry will be gone.

Glad I could help.

Please read my Prevention page with lots of info and tips how to prevent this in the future.
And if you want to improve speed/system performance after malware removal, take a look here.
Extra note: Make sure your programs are up to date - because older versions may contain Security Leaks. To find out what programs need to be updated, please run the Secunia Software Inspector Scan.
