 I was directed to this site by the members of the elder geek for more info on fixing my MAJOR problem with my malicious malware and spyware problem that slipped by McAfee and really screwed up my computer...i.e...no display properties working and a false warning about spyware from microsoft the McAfee kept saying was a Trojan, but could NOT get rid of the warning bubbles(2of them) and I had absolutely no graphics on the desktop, only white!! Could not get the desktop properties to respond AT ALL!! Was told to come here and download a [rogram and then run it according to the directions and now EVERYTHING is BACK!!!! So THANK YOU to all for the help. I will have to get back to the forum on the elder geek and let them know also! Following is the combofix log. Now hopefully I can return the favor to someone down the line. :flowers:
Thank you again, MamaRedHawk

No. Try not. Do... or do not. There is no try.

ComboFix logs should not to be posted outside the HijackThis forums. It is an extremely powerful tool which should only be used when instructed to do so by someone who has been properly trained. ComboFix is intended by its creator to be "used under the guidance and supervision of an expert", NOT for private use. Please read Combofix's Disclaimer. Using this tool incorrectly could lead to disastrous problems with your operating system such as preventing it from ever starting again.

Please create a new topic explaining the nature of your problem in the Am I infected? What do I do? forum. Describe pop-ups and system tray or desktop icons that have appeared. Explain what is "going wrong" with your computer. Note any tools you have used and their respective results.

If needed, we will direct you to our HJT Preparation Guide.

Thank you for using BleepingComputer as your malware removal source.
