Greetingz! well so much for being careful!
I have no idea what happened but everything is totally messed up!

computer stats are .
Model H/P
2.66 GHz intel pentium
512 MB DDR SDRAM memory
120 GB DMA H/D
128 MB nvidia geforce4 mx440 grafics card with TV-out

problems are,
not rebooting with out having to do a multi Cont/Alt/Dele and repeated tapping of enter key, not even into safe mode w/out many repeated tries, com hangs w/the black screen. When using my firefox if I highlite the adress bar I get the "firefox encountered an error" window and it closes I cosistantly am getting timmed out and page not found errors ( for all pages/sites including BC! )

Steps I have already tried!

reboot of course lol (and again and again)
did a restore to 3 different "points"
all AV(online and installed) and spyware including trying some I never heard of before searching!
I tried to do a full recovery (my recover is preinstalled on a seperate drive)
got as far as the advice box to try restore then it hangs and after about 3-5 mins it shuts down,
I tried to use the emergency disc's created from the recovery cd maker and my cd drive would not reconize the disc!

*copy of HJT*
EDITED because I had used the older version of HJT!

The log is clean. A lot of times shutdown problems are because there is a driver conflict. Try and see if you can update the drivers for your video card, sound card, and network and see if that helps

Will do Grinler! I thought my log was "fairly" clean but the shut down and other errors are driving me nutz!

so if that doesn't fix do I just edit or repost?
THANKS! :flowers:
