I tried searching, but couldn't find anything on it:

I'm running a Gateway 507GR tower with XP SP2, 1GB RAM, & 3.0Ghz processor. Frequently, when I move my mouse to take the comp off of screensaver (currently set at 5 min), the computer will close windows that are open such as IE, Firefox, and others. I also run some recording software (Total Recorder) on this comp and it will attempt to stop recording and ask me is I want to stop recording and save the file. I have McAfee Anti-Virus software installed. Scans are ok, no malware has been detected. Also did a scan with SuperAnti-Spyware. Anyone have any ideas that may be causing this?

Thanks in advance,

If you have Microsoft Intellipoint 5.2 software try reverting back to version 5.0 and see if that helps.

Hi there iredog120, welcome to BC!

Is this one of the built-in screensavers or is it a third-party one?

It's the built-in standard "Windows XP" screensaver, nothing fancy.

I do have 5.2 installed.
