I was editing the registry, (of course with out doing a back up), and now when I open Control Panel, or other files, I get the file open, but the look has changed, and there is the wording %THISDIRNAME% in the file. Any suggestions on how to clean it up?? I am running Windows 2000.

Where is %thisdirname% shown? Got a screenshot you can show us? Any idea what you changed in the registry?
