Hello,

I have been infected with Micrsoft.exe Virus. Symantec does not detect that as Vulnerable but Avast does and is not letting me use my Drive. I have two infections on my Thumb Drive one an Autorun.inf and mircsoft.exe.

I have tried using the Flash Disinfector but with minimal help. I am considering to run Combofix but it runs a check on the Core only, please advise how to have both these applications off my drive and also protect my Thumb drive from Future infections.

Thanks,
Safeer

Your computer is infected

Have you run any scans to clean it up?

Hello Chewy,

I have run the scans and finally formatted the entire Hard Drive through Low Level format which took care of the Issue on my unit. But the Issue is with the Thumb Drive now because you cannot format the Thumb Drive..... A Scan with Symantec Corporate, Norton 360 and Avast did not bore any fruit.

Please help.
