I'm still a really new tech, just started my first desktop support job about a month ago and I'm finding that a lot of problems are corrected by renaming an old profile and creating a new one. Of course this means resetting up Outlook accounts and moving documents etc. over to the new profile. I was wondering if there is something out there that can fix an existing profile rather than having to recreate it.

Thanks all!

Could you tell us what "problems" exactly you are having that you are trying to fix by making a new account?

You can try the User Profile Hive Cleanup Service.
