Recently my laptop got a bunch of spyware downloaded onto it. I ran Spy Sweeper several times and quarantined and deleted whatever came up. This didn't do anything for me, though. I also had the blue desktop background reading "Your computer is infected" that some other people have mentioned. Before I could find another program to use, my computer stopped letting me log in! It says that my password is incorrect.

Someone suggested I start it up on Safe Mode and fix it from there but when I tried going on to the administrator account it immediately logged me out again. I know someone that fixes computers but I figured I'd see if there's anything else I can do before I take it to him.

At this point I don't care so much whether or not I lose all the stuff on my computer. If there's a way for me to fix the problem I don't care if I have to start all over.

Thanks!

No. Try not. Do... or do not. There is no try.
