Ok so im cleaning out my sisters computer for her of old stuff and such. Old files and stuff we wont use any more.

So we recetally switched from Bellsouth ISP to Embarq (bad decision) So I decided to delete all the bellsouth files as seeing we will never use them agian.

I came across one of the folders with files that aprantlly boot on startup. I didn't want to mess with MSCONFG so I decided to boot into safe mode and deleted them. While I was in safe mode I uninstalled a few more programs. Expired antiviruses and such...

Yay! Clean system =)

Reboot and then I get the loading bar, skips the "all great" Vista logo and goes strait to a black screen with cursor. I googled it and it seems that alot of people have been having this problem. (Is this the new Black screen of death? O.o)

C'mon Micro$oft, I woulden't expect this from you. 5 years to code and about 15,000,000 lines of code? And all you could pump out was this cheep Mac OS X rip off? -_-'

Any one got a clue what I can do to get into Vista again? (reformat/reinstall/repair anything that deletes personal files are not really options)

How long have you left it with the black screen showing? Mine has done that on a few occasions... I just leave it alone, while it appears that nothing is happening. It eventually boots to my log on screen and all is well.
