hey everyone
got the weirdest problem of all time, just yesterday, all usb devices stopped working, the printer, the flash drive etc. I swapped them and it detects for a while then just stops after 2 seconds. I tried with all my might. The only thing that works is if i attach a usb hub and connect my devices through there. It ONLY works through the usb hub. I think its software but do you think its hardware? Thanks

Open Device Manager and expand all of the +'s. Look for yellow exclamation points. That usually detects the offending device with a problematic driver

nah, it has no external power supply. Its just a normal usb 1.1 hub (1 to 4) operating in all usb ports that dont work normally. Thanks

For under 10 dollars, you can get a USB add-on card and get rid of the headaches. A USB hub with it's own power supply is also a good idea

Last week my mouse and USB wasn't functioning when I pluged it in. I left it out for a couple of days and it satrted working again. You might want to try that.
