Hi Everyone,

I've been building and repairing my own and other's computers for about ten years.

It has turned into a (sometimes) money making hobby, and I'm sure that like many members of this forum, there are many people depending on me for support.

I've been dabbling in Linux the last few years, watching as it becomes more and more viable as a Windows replacement. With Vista stumbling, I think there are a few distros that are (finally) ready to step in, even for the less capable users.

I've been a Linux evangelist for a while now too, usually sending all my new machines out as dual boot XP/Linux on 100% Linux compatible hardware. (this is still not always easy)

The Linux section in your forum looks a little anemic, so maybe I'll be able to help some there too.

Anyway, look forward to getting to know a bunch of new people.

I'm conservative with my posting, preferring not to post just to run up my total post number, but only when I feel that I "do" have something to contribute to the conversation.

So I'll see you all "out there"

Tom :flowers:

I am sure that any help you can provide about Linux will be appreciated by our Members, many of whom are somewhat new to it.
