Hi all,

I have a HI-Grade r5400 Laptop which keeps turning off - I am pritty sure its overheating, as I get a wift of the burning smell every so often.

Sometimes it wont turn on, if you leave it for a while it will turn on - after 8-10 seconds it turns off.

I've opened it up and cleared all the dust off the fans, the fans seem to work fine.

I could try a different fan - I am struggling to find parts for this make and model online though.

Any one have any suggestions?

Having grandkids is God's way of giving you a 2nd chance because you were too busy working your butt off the 1st time around
