I have my internet access via Verizon Fios.

The wireless router used to dircetly connect 2 PC and 1 by wireless will not power up.

I should have a new one in a couple of days.

During that period I was thinking I could thake the etherner connection that goes to the router and connect directly to my PC.

When I do this I can a limited/no connectivity message. I have tried to connect both pCs in the room and I can the same response on both.

Verizon has told me that they have released the "lease" on my connection and I should have internet access on 1 PC.

However I do not and Verizon does not know what the issue is.

Can someone provide any insights on what the issue. I am thinking it could be the ethernet cable that comes from the Verizon "box" outside into my home.
