Windows Nt In Xp Program Files

Ive just had a phone call from a friend who has a new ( second Hand ) computer running Windows XP , and he says he's been looking in the program files and seen a folder ( ive Just found Windows NT in my program files ) the size is .. 1.650.688 bytes, he's asked me should it be there..? any ideas please why he is seeing this windows NT folder..?

Googling nt folder, I found THIS plus a few others. It's Greek to me but I don't think I'd mess with it until you're absolutely positive it's unnecessary

I have one in my XP Home and it is 3.8MB, my contents look OK.

I would consider it normal, after reviewing the contents. If the contents look like programs/routines that should be part of an XP or Office install, I would not worry.

On most XP systems the Windows NT folder is essential if you play Pinball (that's where it's located)
It also contains WordPad in the Accessories folder underneath it on my XP Virtual machine
The Windows NT folder is 3,915,519 bytes in size - so it's quite a bit larger than your friend's.
My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.
