hello this is my firt time to this site. I dont know alot about computers so i hope yall can help me.
heres my question I have a gateway desktop , it has a mother and daughter board in it, it uses a e-3400 tooless case,right know it has a 933/256/133/1.7v pentium processor, i would like to know if i can swap it for one of these.

Celeron 1100A/256/100/1.475/SL5VQ;
Celeron 1300/256/100/1.5/SL5VR;
Celeron 1300/256/100/1.5/SL5ZJ;


Intel SL5XL 1400/512/133/1.45 (socket 370
Intel SL5PU 1100/512/133/1.45
Intel 1200/256/133/1.475


Iwant to replace the 933 370 socket processor with somting faster.

any help would be appreciated Thank You

heres what it says on the front of the case (E-3400)

and on the back it says

(MODEL NO.)
NLX MID TOWER P03 E3400

SERIAL NO. 0023416414

I WENT TO THE GATEWAY SITE AND THE DIDNT HAVE ANY INFO ON IT.

THIS IS ALL THE INFO I HAVE ON IT . HOPE THIS CAN HELP.

If you can supply us with the make and model of the motherboard we should be able to find out what CPUs it supports. You can down SIW and it will list that information. This is a free download.

If you have the pentium 3 in there now then that probably the fastest processor for that board. If you went to a celeron it would be slower. In all honesty its probably not worth upgrading based on how old it is

I dont have much money that why i have that computer. i just would like to know if one of these might work

OR SOMETHING CLOSE TO ONE OF THESE


this is what is in it now 933/256/133/1.7v pentium III
if i were going to use one of them from above (does the cache, bus speed or Core Voltage has to be the same and if not which one can and cant be diffrent?

As long as it's socket 370 it'll work. But in all honesty, a computer that old really won't benefit much from upgrading the processor.
