When you opened up OE, were you asked to configure it and set it up for use with your ISP (or other) mail?
If not, one thing for you to check.
Open Outlook Express.
Then click on VIEW
at the top, choose CURRENT VIEW
Is there a round black dot next to SHOW ALL MESSAGES
If not, click on Show All Messages.
Hopefully it will be something as simple as that which will fix your issue. If not, what do you mean by "a new version
"? What was different about it?
