hi, ive used bleepingcomputer some time ago and i like the good service provided.
well, this time, i have another problem.
after i sent my computer for repair,
windows media player can only play like, 1-10 seconds of th songs of any CDS i inserted into my cpu.
(it shows this message:
Windows Media Player cannot read the CD. The disc might be dirty or damaged. Turn on error correction, and then try again.)
realplayer has th exact same problem.
however, it has entirely no problem with youtube, imeem, or stuff.
wht could be wrong with it?

Hi Nobie ,

Since two players have problem with reading C/DVD-ROM it doesn't look the problem is there. I am not sure about that but worth a try if you uninstall the CD/DVD-ROM driver (from Device Manager) and then reboot. Windows finds the new hardware and installs the latest driver.

Good luck!

Hi Nobie ,

This ongoing topic may be a little different but looks like a similar issue. You may want to take a look:
