Hi, I have tried running AVG and ad-aware scans, they have found stuff, but the problem of unwanted IE pages/popups appearing persists.

Please help.

Unfortunately, I am struggling to paste my HijackThis log onto this message without me getting the "this is an old version of HijackThis you are using" message

this is not the thread for HJT logs, this where you tell what OS you are using, what you have used to try and fix your problem, hopefully some clues as to how bad the infection is.

there are specific directions and a link to download HJT in the thread where the HJT logs go.

No. Try not. Do... or do not. There is no try.
