HijackThis hangs

When I run HijackThis I get this message:

Q1 HOSTS file redirection . . .

The scan halts and the application becomes unresponsive.

Any ideas?

You don't say which os you are running

For XP - try deleting the hosts file in the C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc folder before running it again.
(back it up first if you use it)
