 Does anyone know where the file C:\WINDOWS\Temp\CompiledAdapter.dll comes from? Comodo firewall has flagged it and does not know what it is. I submitted it to them. I'm sure there is a logical explanation. Any answers will be appreciated. Thanks.

I think I'd treat it as malware, http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=C...G=Google+Search

Have you scanned your system lately for viruses and other forms of malware?

I have scanned recently, but nothing found. I found the .dll file yesterday when using Comodo Firewall Pro. I will scan again. Any recommendations for malware scanners? Thanks.

I use 2 mainly (SUPERAntiSpyware and Windows Defender) but I've also used AVG Antispyware with confidence and success.

FWIW: Are you using Comodo AV also? I used both the free firewall and the free AV for a time last year.

I have several including SUPER AS and AVG. I do not have Comodo AV. I am always looking for new ones to try. Thanks.

You could try uploading the file at Jotti for analysis.
