Usb Headset, Volume Levels, Vista

At first, I was having problems getting my microphone to produce a nice level of volume for use with Ventrilo voice chat.

Now, somehow I cannot hear anything through my headset speakers. If you look at this screen shot, it shows where the level is turned all the way down and I cannot turn it up.
