I am trying to upload to my web space via FTP . With the Friewall down no problem w/ it up I am blocked . What do I modify in MS firewall to allow my FTP client to upload to the web . I tried to allow port 21 . All efforts fail. Suggestions ?

Go into the firewall settings and either put a checkmark in the program under exceptions or add it.

Never tried it. Not quite sure how to do that. I have been using LeechFTP since...... well along time, since the '90s. But i'm game tell me hat to do.

Click on start then run and type ftp. Then press ok.

When the program opens, type O and press enter.

Then type your ftp site name and log in. To put a file you type put filename

It went through. I tried leech again still no luck. It has to be a firewall setting. Any ways thanks for the info, atleast I can upload fairly quickly now. Still hope to find the block on that pesky firewall. Would you recommend a freware replacement. I thought about Zone Alarm but I have been hearing several members talking about problems. Any thoughts.
