I have had to re format my hard drive (again)

Installed AVG, spyware blaster, and Zonealarm.

Had to remove zonealarm as had great internet problems.

Wanted to go to Windows Update to re-install all the updates, incl SP2 with firewall, but couldn't as it said service applications disabled, and suggested I go to Run - Services.msc, click on services (of which there must be 80 or more and select auto) It didn't say for how many I should do this. Anyway

By this time getting various bad pop ups etc etc.

Each time I try to download Hijackthis, I get diverted to somewhere else.

Help please.

This is a previous thread I started last week

Will have to get back to you, system completely crashed.

Mater cd's not working, so am having to wait for new ones to be sent.

When I re format hopefully will not have to return here.

Many thanks
