Do you mean an icon there? If so, delete it.

Your log looks clean again.
How are things now?

Ok, not sure if you exactly removed what I asked you to remove, so do next please..

* Please visit this webpage for instructions for downloading and running ComboFix:

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/combofix/how-to-use-combofix

This includes installing the Windows XP Recovery Console in case you have not installed it yet.

Post the log from ComboFix when you've accomplished that, along with a new HijackThis log.

Are you still getting popups now?

Also delete this folder:

C:\Program Files\FBrowserAdvisor

What do you mean?
and extra Internet Explorer icon? That's nothing to worry about, it's combofix that created it - it restored the default shortcut to Internet Explorer.
You can delete them if you want.

Please explain what exact problem you are having with your desktop, because it is unclear here..

Yes, please upload/submit a screenshot of your desktop here:
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/submit-malware.php?channel=8

Also, this looks like an active desktop being set - however I do not see any traces if it in your log.
Anyway,* Go to start > control panel > Display properties > Desktop > Customize Desktop... > Web tab
Select everything you find in there (except for "My current home page") and press the delete button on the right.
Hit ok below > apply in previous window.

Hi,

* Go to start > run and copy and paste next command in the field:

ComboFix /u

Make sure there's a space between Combofix and /
Then hit enter.

This will uninstall Combofix, delete its related folders and files, reset your clock settings, hide file extensions, hide the system/hidden files and resets System Restore again.

does that mean i am all clear now ? ? and would avg keep me clean ? ?

Yes, you're clear. Make sure your Antivirus is always up to date.
But an Antivirus is not enough to prevent this from happening though - because if someone gets infected, that's because they allowed the malware. In your case, you most probably installed a program which installed the extra malware with it - so always be careful where you surf and what you download.

Please read my Prevention page with lots of info and tips how to prevent this in the future.
And if you want to improve speed/system performance after malware removal, take a look here.
Extra note: Make sure your programs are up to date - because older versions may contain Security Leaks. To find out what programs need to be updated, please run the Secunia Software Inspector Scan.

Happy Surfing again!
