I've just got a new laptop, but I'm having problems connecting fully to the main network. The main computer (XP) is wired up to a router, and I can access the internet fine, but I've been having trouble gettinhg all my old files across. I spent a while stumbling around the new Vista menus, and eventually I found in the 'computers connected to network' 'MAINFRAME' and managed to pull a fe files across, and print something as well. However, after appearing once mroe, I can no longer get the 'MAINFRAME' icon to come back.

Completly confused about why the icon disappeared, the only thing I changed was some files in the shared folder. Have tried restarting, and going through menus on both computers to add a new computer, incuding that USB adding wizard.

Any help appreciated, thanks!

Just to add something, an hour or so ago I just checked 'Networks' on the offchance, and 'MAINFRAME' was there! I pulled some files over, and then put it in sleep mode once done. Now, returning to it, its gone again, literally nothing has changed in settings, files, on either computer.
