Hi, I am a new member and just wanted to introduce myself. I came across this site while trying to seach for help getting rid of an annoying Trojan called Trojan.FakeAlert. I am about to pull my hair out. with this one. I am fairly computer literate, but have learned most of what I know by reading and by the seat of my pants.

hello and welcome :flowers: your request for help in the 'am I infected section' contained an HJT log; the policy on this forum is for all HJT logs to be in the specific section for such so that only those who are appropriately trained IN log interpretation can respond, to ensure you get only the right reply and not some well-intentioned but nevertheless inappropriate advise; the Mods on here have been advised and will move that thread to the HJT section

meanwhile I do hope you get the computer back under your control soon
