I have rootkit in Symantec folder, I can see the hidden folder and files in it with live linux(Knnopix), but I can not delete that folder with live Knnopix. Main folder, Program Files/Symantec I can not delete in Safe Mode also. My HijackThis log looks clean. AVG, BitDefender and Kaspersky recognize hidden folder, but only BitDefender is renamed files in hidden folder. Still I can not delete Symantec folder in Safe Mode. I tryed some antirootkit tools but still nothing, some of them see the rootkit like RootKit Unhooker however can't delete it. Any suggestions?

Hello Pivopija and welcome to BC

Sorry about the delayed response. We are all volunteers here and sometimes things slip past us.

In order to assist you, we need some additional information.

What is your operating system: Windows XP, Vista, etc.?

AVG, BitDefender and Kaspersky recognize hidden folder

Are these all AntiVirus programs? If so, were these on-line scans?

I tryed some antirootkit

Please name them.

What other security programs do you have installed? Please name them.
