Hi I'm a moderate user with almost no brain due to a terrible farming accident. I have however managed to build a couple systems so far. This is the latest...I haven't had a great deal of time to make this happen and I'm under a deadline, so I really appreciate the feedback.
New build with a few parts from my old box.Heres what Im thinking (any suggestions?)
mobo: GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3L LGA 775
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E6850 Conroe 3.0GHz 4M shared L2 Cache LGA 775 65W Dual-Core
Video Card: EVGA 768-P2-N831-AR GeForce 8800GTX 768MB 384-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported
Memory: Kingston 2GB 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 667 (PC2 5300)
The rest is from the old system:
Hard Drive: Western Digital Caviar SE WD800JD 80GB 7200 RPM 8MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s
Power Supply: APEVIA ATX-AS520W-BK ATX 520W
Ill be running XP home

Any ideas/suggestions?

im actually running that motherboard and its a very good choice. On the gfx card i would check but i thing the GTX is a G80 core and if it is alot of people will recomend the 8800gt because its a G92 core. Pretty much its faster and runs cooler. As for the ram go on Newegg.com and search GSkill 6400. This ram is faster than the 5300 and is priced at $35 for 2GB's. Also since your putting in a nice motherboard, gfx card, and processor, might as well step up and get an SATAII Hard drive.
